Clive has over 25 years experience in research, and commercial deployment of new technologies in Australia, the UK and the USA. As Founder and Deputy Director of the National Centre for Biometric Studies (NCBS) at University of Canberra, Clive has provided vendor independent scientific analysis of the performance and effectiveness of biometric technologies, including undertaking the World’s largest and more extensive analysis of voice biometrics for Government applications, an analysis that is currently being used as a foundation for US Government's "v-Auth" strategy for secure telephone services.

As CEO of Syrinx, Clive was responsible for delivering the world’s first natural language voice recognition solution for the TAB in Perth (1996), the world's largest voice recognition system for AT&T Customer Service in the USA (1998) and Australia's first voice recognition system in financial services for CommSec (2000). During this time Clive grew Syrinx from a zero funded start-up position to a world leader in voice recognition; securing over $25 million in venture capital funds and $3.5 million in R&D grants, employing over 65 staff in Australia and the USA.
Clive has a Bachelor of Science Honours (B.Sc.
